SCA Coffee Skills Program
Barista Skills Intermediate
The Barista Skills Intermediate course builds on the concepts and skills presented in the Foundation course. It is ideal for those with barista experience who want to learn how to improve coffee quality and prepare for the more complex roles of the barista profession. This interactive course will provide students with a deeper understanding of coffee, particularly the impact of coffee variety, origin, and processing methods on flavor. You will understand the parameters of coffee quantity, grind quality, water quality, and brewing time, and how they interact when selecting a brewing recipe. You will learn the structure of espresso-based drinks and their flavor differences. You will learn workflow management and efficiency. You will discuss the sensory aspects of espresso extraction, refine your milk frothing technique, and learn how to create latte art. In addition to coffee preparation, this course also covers key concepts in health and safety, customer service, and basic business practices. An online written exam will test your theoretical knowledge, while a practical exam will assess your skills in grinder calibration, espresso extraction analysis, latte art, and drink design.
- dedicated to people who want to develop their barista skills and build self-confidence
- completed with an exam
- SCA certificate and +10 points in the training price
